Ideas of how to get mail-outs like newsletters, etc. to out-of-district families were presented.
There will be four Chats with Charles scheduled - two each for elementary and middle/high school issues.
There will be a presentation on November 28th on Sensory Integration Dysfunction by a Groton therapist.
We will have a Study Skills workshop given by a tutor from Bolton in February which will be advertised to all student families. Jayne Rowe will speak of it at the PTO meeting.
A Basic Rights Workshop has been scheduled for October 17th in Bolton at the Nashoba Regional High School (7-9 pm).
There was a discussion concerning changes in the HES OT Room which could impact OT services to a group of students. Possible solutions were discussed, such as a room reconfiguration and we are waiting for a response from the school.
We spoke about positive ways of communication with teachers and other school personnel. We also discussed ways to communicate with the town itself, i.e. letters to the newspaper explaining the many steps for a student to get onto an IEP, etc.
A few parents expressed their enthusiasm for the Bromfield after-school social skills group.
Packets will be arriving in the mail to SEPAC families soon!
